Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Thursday that a draft plan outlining American security guarantees for Kyiv was “essentially ready" to be submitted to US President Donald Trump for his approval.

“The bilateral document on security guarantees for Ukraine is now essentially ready for finalization at the highest level with the President of the United States," Zelensky said on X.

Zelenskyy stated that yesterday’s meetings of ​both ⁠countries’ representatives in Paris discussed “complex issues" from the framework ‌under discussion ‌to end the nearly ‍four-year war.

“We understand that the ‍American side will engage with Russia, and we expect feedback on whether the ⁠aggressor is genuinely willing to ​end the war," he wrote on X.

He said that upon returning to Kyiv, the country’s negotiation team will report on all details of recent meetings. He added that partners are being briefed on the consequences of Russian strikes, which, he noted, show no sign that Moscow is changing its priorities.

Zelenskyy emphasized that pressure on Russia must intensify alongside the negotiation efforts, and that the credibility of future security guarantees depends on partners’ ability to exert effective pressure on the aggressor. He also said Ukraine is preparing new relevant contacts with its partners.
