Zodiac Energy shares gain after securing order for 2,500 Kwp solar plant

Shares of Zodiac Energy jumped as much as 5% intraday to ₹254.35 on Friday, August 21, after the company announced that it had received a purchase order for a 2,500 Kwp ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant.

According to an exchange filing, the order has been placed by a domestic entity with its registered office in Uttar Pradesh. Zodiac Energy will be responsible for the supply, installation and commissioning of the solar power plant.

The project is targeted for execution by December 31, 2026, subject to the terms of the purchase order.

The company said the order is expected to strengthen its presence in the renewable energy sector and contribute to revenue over the project execution period.

The order covers a 2,500 Kwp ground-mounted solar PV power plant and includes execution of the solar power system as per the specifications and scope of supply outlined in the purchase order.

Zodiac Energy said neither its promoter, promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the entity that awarded the order. It also clarified that the order does not fall under related-party transactions.

Headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Zodiac Energy provides a range of energy solutions, including rooftop, ground-mounted and floating solar power systems, solar trees, diesel and gas generator sets, and battery energy storage systems.
