Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: We are in the second half of this Friday session, and the markets remain stagnant. The markets are recalcitrant, as after the expiry show, the indices are trading flat. The Nifty is near 24,250. The Nifty bank index is no different, but slightly higher with gains of 150 points. Bharat Electronics, Kotak Bank, Powergrid are the top gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street, and even in the second half of the day's trade, not much has changed. The bulls' hope of ending the week on a high has met a weak-moving bourse, as the Nifty faces resistance, with the market trading largely flat. The Nifty is around the 24,250 mark. The Sensex is also moving cautiously, around 77,500.
Thursday's session also saw the index defend its 100-DMA on the downside, as well as the mark of 24,000, which remains the most important level to watch on the downside.
Brent briefly crossed the mark of $94 a barrel. In case the Nifty manages to cross this week's high of 24,360, it could be viewed positively by the street.
The Nifty Bank continues to see buying at the lower end of the narrow range and supply at the higher end of it. Sustaining above 57,500 will be key for the index and then to cross 58,000.
