Zomato has raised its platform fee to ₹14.90 per order, up from ₹12.50, reflecting a ₹2.40 increase or 19.2% hike as the company continues to strengthen its monetisation strategy.
The move marks the latest step in a steady build-up of platform fees since their introduction in April 2023 at ₹2 per order. The fee was subsequently raised to ₹10 in 2024, and then to ₹12 around September 2025, ahead of the festive season.
The increase also comes amid similar moves by rivals, with Swiggy having tested platform fees of ₹14 during peak demand periods before raising them to around ₹14.99 per order in late 2025.
The continued upward revision in platform fees highlights the sector’s focus on improving unit economics, even as competition remains intense.
