The case, originally documented in 1988 but recently resurfaced, details how the teenager underwent a caesarean section to deliver a healthy 6.2lb baby boy, according to The Sun. The medical team, who published the case in the British Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, were baffled by the pregnancy.

The young mother, unaware of her condition, had noticed physical changes but had not engaged in vaginal intercourse, leading her to dismiss the possibility of pregnancy. However, nine months prior, she had been hospitalised for a stab wound to her stomach, sustained during an altercation with her ex-boyfriend who discovered her engaging in oral sex with another partner. This violent encounter, described as a “mini war", provided a crucial clue.
