Earthquake Today: An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 hit Myanmar on Tuesday morning. Several parts of eastern India felt tremors.

A 4.7 magnitude earthquake jolted Myanmar on Tuesday morning. The tremors of this powerful quake were felt in eastern parts of India, including Manipur, Nagaland, and Assam.
The Center for Seismology (NCS) shared details of the quake on X at 6:10 am on Tueasday and as per the official data, the earthquake hit Myanmar near its border with India i.e. just 27 km southeast of Ukhrul in Manipur.
Earthquake Jolts Myanmar
As per the NCS, the depth of the earthquake was 15 km and the exact coordinates where it hit were latitude 24.73 N, longitude 94.63 E.
The location of the earthquake was just 155 km south-southeast of Nagaland’s Wokha, 159 km southeast of Nagaland’s Dimapur, 177 km south of Nagaland’s Mokokchung, 171 km northeast of Mizoram’s Ngopa, and 193 km northeast of Mizoram’s Champhai.
