Amit Singh, the current CEO of AGEL, will step down from his position on March 31, 2025, to take on the role of CEO for the Adani Group’s international energy business. Shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd ended at ₹1,078.05, up by ₹24.30, or 2.31%, on the BSE.
In a move aligned with the Adani Group's ongoing internal leadership planning, Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) on Monday (December 30) announced a leadership transition.
Amit Singh, the current CEO of AGEL, will step down from his position on March 31, 2025, to take on the role of CEO for the Adani Group’s international energy business.
Ashish Khanna, currently serving as the CEO of Adani’s international energy business, has been appointed as AGEL’s new CEO, effective April 1, 2025. This transition is part of the group’s broader strategy to drive sustainable growth and develop leadership capabilities across its businesses.

Singh is an energy industry strategist and a leader in energy transition with extensive global experience with SLB (formerly Schlumberger). He has worked in over a dozen countries and has held positions such as managing director and country chair, in Qatar and subsequently director of corporate strategy and marketing, digital and integration division, based out of London.
Khanna has over three decades of experience in the areas of renewables, infrastructure, project management and contracts management in both India and abroad.
"As Adani Group now wishes to expand its business territory to international geographies, especially where growth paradigms are formidable such as MENA, Amit’s leadership will further strengthen Group and align Group’s goals," Adani Green Energy said.
Adani Green Energy Solutions reported a 38.8% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at ₹515 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Adani Green Energy Solutions posted a net profit of ₹371 crore.
The company's revenue from operations surged 27.6% to ₹3,055 crore against ₹2,220 crore in the year-ago period. At the operating level, EBITDA increased 24.8% to ₹2,272 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal over ₹1,821 crore in Q2 FY24.
Shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd ended at ₹1,078.05, up by ₹24.30, or 2.31%, on the BSE.
