Assembly elections 2024: The voting for Maharashtra and Jharkhand will take place on November 20 between 7am and 6pm.

As the voting for second phase of the Jharkhand legislative assembly and 288 seats of the Maharashtra legislative assembly will conclude on November 20, all eyes will turn to the much-anticipated exit poll results, which will be released soon after the polling process wraps.
Date And Time Of Exit Polls
According to the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines, television channels and news organisations are allowed to release exit polls on November 20, Wednesday after 6:30pm, following the completion of the voting. The ECI mandates that exit poll results cannot be published or broadcast until half an hour after the polling period ends, in accordance with Section 126A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, to prevent any external influence on voters.
The voting for both the states will take place on November 20 between 7am and 6pm.

Maharashtra Election s 2024
Elections to the 288-member legislative assembly will be held on November 20 and the votes will be counted on November 23.
The BJP is running as part of the Mahayuti alliance, which includes chief minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena faction and Ajit Pawar’s NCP. Opposing them is the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, comprising Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP), and the Congress party.
Jharkhand Election s 2024
Jharkhand completed the first phase of polling in 43 constituencies on 13 November, with the second phase scheduled for 20 November in the remaining 38 constituencies. Votes will be counted on 23 November.
The contest of Jharkhand is between the ruling JMM-led INDIA alliance and the opposition BJP-led Democratic Alliance (NDA).
