Shares of Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd ended at ₹584.35, down by ₹9.05, or 1.53% on the BSE.
Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd (BCML), a leading integrated sugar mill company, on Monday (November 11) reported a 59.6% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at ₹67.2 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2024.
In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Balrampur Chini Mills posted a net profit of ₹166.3 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company's revenue from operations fell 15.7% to ₹1,298 crore as against ₹1,539.5 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
At the operating level, EBITDA dived 70.2% to ₹49.1 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal over ₹164.9 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

EBITDA margin stood at 3.8% in the reporting quarter as compared to 10.7% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.
The company has declared an interim dividend of 300.% i.e. ₹3 per equity share of ₹1 each fully paid up for the financial year 2024-25 and will be paid to the equity shareholders of the company whose names appear in the register of members of the company or in the records of the depositories as beneficial owners as on Monday, November 25, 2024 which is the record date fixed for the said purpose.
The said interim dividend will be paid to the equity shareholders of the company on and from Thursday, December 5, 2024. Shares of Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd ended at ₹584.35, down by ₹9.05, or 1.53% on the BSE.
