India’s Operation Sindoor and Israel’s Operation Rising Lion showed complete dominance of the two countries over Pakistan and Iran, respectively, according to intelligence sources.
“The era of air superiority is gone. Military superiority is now defined by electromagnetic spectrum, missiles and satellite-fed networks. Both operations example showed the emergence of new era of air dominance through precision, electronic warfare, and psychological deterrence, not traditional dogfighting," said sources.
“Both Iran and Pakistan feared escalation more than defeat, driven by economic fragility, outdated fleets, and crippled air defences. The operations proved that air superiority today is won by convincing your adversary not to fight at all. Both adversaries Pakistan and Iran—failed to contest the airspace. This lead to complete aerial collapse," they said.
India’s Operation Sindoor (May 7-11)
Strikes on Bahawalpur and Muridke began at 01:17 AM on May 7, using SCALP cruise missiles and AASM Hammer bombs from Rafale jets. Follow-up operations targeted eight Pakistani airbases-Sargodha, Nur Khan, Rafiqi with BrahMos missiles and Harop drones between May 8 and 10.
“India’s use of electronic warfare systems (SPECTRA) disabled Pakistan’s radar and SAM systems, allowing uncontested aerial corridors. Pakistan’s airspace was shut down for a total of 38 hours, costing huge aviation losses and grounding 57 international flights. Pakistan never scrambled fighters beyond initial symbolic gestures. Real-time surveillance and fear of India’s S-400 systems deterred further action," sources said.

Israel’s Operation Rising Lion (June 13-18)
Started on at 03:00 IRST on June 13, Israeli F-35I stealth jets penetrated Iranian airspace, destroying SAMs (S-300, Bavar-373) and radar systems with SPICE bombs. Over 200 airstrikes occurred within 72 hours, eliminating IRGC command posts, nuclear infrastructure, and missile bases. Iran’s entire airspace remained closed for 120 hours (5 days), with selected no-fly zones continuing for days after. Daily losses in commercial overflight revenue, and no Iranian fighters including F-14s or MiG-29s took off due to radar blindness and leadership targeting, said sources.
