Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha on Thursday alleged there was a conspiracy to merge her party with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and that the controversy began while she was in jail.
The party MLC also alleged that attempts were being made to distance her from her father and party president K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR).
“There is a conspiracy to merge the BRS with the BJP. When I was in jail, there was a discussion in the party to the parties, to which I objected and offered to stay in jail if required," Kavitha said while speaking to reporters.
Speaking further, Kavitha also alleged that some people in the party conspired against her while she was in jail.
“No one else in the BRS accepts leadership, except for KCR. I belong to the BRS party, and there was a conspiracy against me when I was in jail. While going to the jail, I said I would resign from the MLC post. I was targeted on the party’s social media handle," she said.
This is not the first time Kavitha has made such claims.
Last week too, she alleged internal differences within the BRS and took an exception to the letter she wrote to her KCR getting leaked.
She also said some conspiracies are taking place in the party. KCR is like God, who is surrounded by some devils, she had said.
Reiterating her claims, Kavitha, on Thursday, said, “Some people are saying that we are leading KCR, are you big enough to lead KCR? They should answer who leaked my letter. Why doesn’t the party deny the false news about me?"
“I don’t do petty politics like them, I stay calm. KCR is the only leader in BRS, I won’t accept anyone else’s leadership in the party," she said.
A handwritten “feedback" letter written by Kavitha to her father, KCR, highlighting both the negative and positive aspects of the party’s recent public meeting at Warangal, earlier sparked discussions in Telangana’s political circles.
“As you (KCR) spoke for just two minutes, some people began speculating that there will be a tie-up with the BJP in future. I even felt that you should have spoken strongly (against the BJP). It might be because I suffered (because of the BJP). But you should have targeted the BJP some more, Daddy," Kavitha mentioned in the letter written in Telugu and English.
