Elon Musk announced his support for Donald Trump at an upcoming rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of a July assassination attempt. During the incident in July, a bullet grazed Trump's ear.
Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, will attend Donald Trump's Pennsylvania rally, where an assassination attempt was made on Trump in July.
Billionaire businessman Elon Musk said on Thursday that he will attend and support Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on October 5. The event marks Trump's return to the site of an assassination attempt made on him in July. The rally will be held at the same location.
"I will be there to support," Musk replied on a post by Trump on X, in which Trump announced his return to Butler.
Musk, who owns X, called Trump "tough" and endorsed him after surviving the assassination attempt.
This was not the only attempt on Trump's life. In September, Trump survived another assassination attempt while playing golf at his West Palm Beach golf course in Florida.
At the Butler rally, where the July assassination attempt occurred, a bullet grazed Trump's ear, just missing his head. However, the bullet struck and killed a Trump supporter who was attending the rally. The gunman, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, was shot and killed by a US Secret Service sniper.
Donald Trump is up against Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, 59, and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, in the November 5 election, which polls show to be a tight race.
