Entero Healthcare shares jump 9% after Prashant Jain's 3P Investment Managers buys ₹150 crore stake

Shares of Entero Healthcare Solutions jumped as much as 8.6% on Tuesday (August 25) after veteran investor Prashant Jain-led 3P Investment Managers picked up a 2.5% stake in the healthcare products distribution and supply-chain company.

The stock climbed to an intraday high of ₹1,661.80, with the purchase by the prominent institutional investor drawing attention to the counter.

According to BSE block-deal data, 3P Investment Managers bought 10.88 lakh Entero Healthcare shares through 3P India Equity Fund 1 and 3P India Equity Fund 1M.

The shares were purchased at ₹1,377.80 apiece, taking the total transaction value to nearly ₹150 crore.

At Tuesday's intraday high, the stock was trading more than 20% above the price at which 3P acquired its stake a day earlier.

Who sold the shares?

Prasid Uno Family Trust, an existing public shareholder in Entero Healthcare, sold an equal 10.88 lakh shares at ₹1,377.80 apiece.

The transaction reduced the trust's holding in the company to 7.95% from 10.45%.

It nevertheless remains Entero Healthcare's largest public shareholder. The company's June 2026 shareholding pattern showed Surbhi Singh of Prasid Uno Family Trust holding 45.5 lakh shares, equivalent to a 10.45% stake, before the latest transaction.

In other words, the block deal did not involve Entero Healthcare issuing new shares or raising money. It was a transfer of an existing stake from Prasid Uno Family Trust to funds managed by 3P Investment Managers.

Entero Healthcare shares have broadly been in an uptrend since the beginning of 2026, despite intermittent corrections. Tuesday's surge took the stock closer to its record high amid heavy trading volumes.

Who is Prashant Jain's 3P Investment Managers?

3P Investment Managers is led by Prashant Jain along with Ashwani Kumar and Sharad Mohnot and invests primarily in listed Indian equities.

Jain is a veteran of India's asset-management industry, making the fund's purchase of a sizeable stake in Entero Healthcare a key trigger for the stock on Tuesday.

The sharp market reaction suggests investors were taking cues from the entry of 3P, though the block purchase itself doesn't change Entero Healthcare's underlying business or finances.

Other bulk and block deals

Entero Healthcare wasn't the only stock that saw large investors buying or selling shares.

Amansa Investments, backed by investor Akash Prakash, sold 15.08 lakh shares, or a 0.75% stake, in Standard Engineering Technology for ₹47.13 crore. The shares were sold at ₹312.55 apiece.

Amansa Holdings and Amansa Investments together held 3.63% in the glass-lined products maker as of June 2026. The stock nevertheless gained 4.9% to close at ₹312.35.

Minerva Ventures Fund bought 2.25 crore shares of Rama Steel Tubes at ₹4.08 apiece, valuing the transaction at ₹9.18 crore.

Emerge Capital Opportunities Scheme purchased 2.12 lakh shares of Tipco Engineering India at ₹225.70 apiece for about ₹4.8 crore, while Vision Ahead Services acquired 10 lakh Senco Gold shares at ₹365.66 apiece for ₹36.56 crore.

On the selling side, AIO Growth Capital Fund SPC offloaded 11.7 lakh GP Petroleums shares at ₹67.03 apiece for ₹7.84 crore.

New Berry Advisors sold 7.45 lakh shares of Arisinfra Solutions at ₹146.21 apiece for ₹10.89 crore, while Virti Enterprise sold another 5.04 lakh shares at ₹140.50 apiece for ₹7.08 crore.
