Over the last few weeks, Android and even Apple users in India have got security risk alerts and now it is coming to those using the Firefox browser. These users have also been alerted about some major security risks that can be handled by updating to the latest version of the Mozilla products.

The bulletin from CERT-In suggests the issues can cause big issues if they are exploited. “Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Mozilla products which could allow a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting, cause denial of service (DoS) conditions, disclose sensitive information, execute arbitrary code, bypass security restrictions or perform spoofing attacks on the targeted system," the note says.

Mozilla has shared the details about the security issue in a post and also highlighted the Firefox versions affected and even those using the Thunderbird mailing client. It also tells which platform users need to be cautious about using the web browser:

The company has already issued a new patch which prevents these issues from targeting and attacking your device. The security agency also says do not install apps from third-party sources or click on links sent by unknown people.
