Godfrey Phillips share price rises over 36% in two sessions

Godfrey Phillips shares gained 13.67% on Monday, February 17, extending gains for the second consecutive day after its third quarter results.

The stock gained 13.67% to hit an intraday high of ₹6,819.8 per share. The stock rallied 20% in the previous trade session. With Monday's gains, the Godfrey Phillips shares increased 36.4% in two trade sessions.

The cigarette maker reported a 48.7% increase in its December quarter net profit at ₹315.9 crore against ₹212.4 crore in the previous fiscal.

The company's revenue from operations surged 27.3% to ₹1,591.2 crore compared to ₹1,249.6 crore in the third quarter last year.

At the operating level, its EBITDA gained 57.6% to ₹358.8 crore against ₹227.7 crore in the third quarter last fiscal. EBITDA margin expanded to 22.6% in the December quarter from 18.2% in the previous year.

Shares of Godfrey Phillips were trading 11.85% higher at ₹6,710.15 per share at 10.45 am. The stock has gained 52.68% in the past month and 150% in the past year.
