HP EliteBoard G1a is a keyboard with an AI PC twist that has fan, speaker and even Wi-Fi support.

We have seen AIO PCs but how about a AI PC keyboard?
HP launches laptops and other PC accessories but its new product is a keyboard that is also a hard-core computing system. Yes, the new EliteBoard G1a is a keyboard with keys that you type on for input to get response on the screen, and that same product has a processor built-in, a fan and even speakers.
We’ve seen mini PCs that connect to an external monitor to give you the PC experience but now even keyboards are being powered with PC-core hardware and HP has showcased this product at this week’s CES 2026 event in Las Vegas.
HP Keyboard PC Tech: What Is It?
HP has showcased this unique product at the event and also shared the details about it and also given us a timeline for its availability in the market. Till date you have seen iMacs with built-in hardware but this is probably the first time you might have heard about a keyboard being an all-in-one (AIO) PC.
But why does a keyboard need all this power? It is likely that you can pair it with a monitor and use it as a portable PC which is not a laptop. The company says you get modular parts which allows you to customise the keys, but also upgrade the RAM, SSD storage or even the Wi-Fi adapter that is running underneath the unit.
What kind of power does the keyboard actually carry? HP says you can configure it with an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 Pro chipset that can be paired with up to 64GB RAM and 2TB of SSD storage. For regular users, it can take the Ryzen AI 5 330 processor and offer a basic 32GB of storage.
But having a CPU means heating and that’s where the EliteBoard G1a makes use of the fan to push the heat out of the device and you never feel its effect on the keys. The keyboard AI PC even has a battery version which is claimed to last for over 3 hours and 2 days in idle mode. We can’t wait to see and hear more about this product and how it actually works.
