Indian man found dead in Jerusalem apartment, police arrest 31-year-old suspect

An Indian man was found dead inside an apartment in Jerusalem on Wednesday, prompting Israeli police to launch a murder investigation and arrest a suspect.

The victim, a worker from India, was discovered in an apartment in the city's Katamon neighbourhood, according to The Times of Israel.

Police have arrested a 31-year-old man from the southern Israeli city of Eilat in connection with the case. The suspect has been taken into custody and is being questioned by investigators.

Authorities have not disclosed the relationship, if any, between the suspect and the victim.

CAUSE OF DEATH UNCLEAR

As per The Times of Israel, Moriah police station chief Cdr. Yuval Reuven said officers found the victim "stretched out in a house with a lot of blood surrounding him."

Officials have not yet confirmed the exact cause of death, and forensic teams are continuing their investigation. Police have not released the identity of the deceased, and further details about the circumstances leading to the incident remain unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
