Apple’s next iPhone flagship models could finally offer better selfies. Reports say, the company is now going to offer a big upgrade for its front camera on all the iPhone 17 series models. The biggest selling point of the iPhone has always been its camera, and Apple continuously works to enhance its lenses and sensors for superior image and video quality.
Now, as the Cupertino-based tech giant gears up to launch the iPhone 17 lineup, analyst Jeff Pu says the entire iPhone 17 series is rumoured to feature a 24MP front camera, marking a significant improvement over previous models.
People have been asking for a better front camera on the premium iPhones and the new update from Jeff hints at a big jump from the 12MP selfie camera used across all iPhone 16 models, promising enhanced photo and video quality for users.The iPhone 17 front camera upgrade was also hinted at by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who suggested that at least one model in the lineup would feature a 24 MP selfie camera, significantly enhancing image quality.
He also notes that the higher resolution will allow photos to retain quality even when cropped extensively, making it a major upgrade for photography enthusiasts.The report also predicted that the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models will feature an increased RAM. It might come with12 GB of RAM. The analyst also suggests that the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max models will have an improved telephoto camera with a 48MP telephoto camera.
Furthermore, it is expected that the iPhone 17 series will be powered by the A19 and A19 Pro chips, which will be using the 3nm process of TSMC. Apart from the camera and chipset details, the tech giant is rumoured to introduce “ProMotion" technology in all four iPhone 17 variants and also MagSafe support in all models.
It is worth noting that the iPhone 17 series will continue to have four variants, except the iPhone 17 Air will replace the Plus model. This change in the iPhone 17 lineup may not be limited to just the Plus model. Reports suggest that the iPhone maker may also dispatch the iPhone Pro Max moniker this time and call it the iPhone 17 Ultra.
