A purported video of a Lebanese television anchor breaking down live on air while announcing the death of Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has been circulating on the social media platform X.
The visibly distraught anchor struggles to find words as she shares the news of Nasrallah’s death. Nasrallah, the Secretary General of the Iran-backed Hezbollah group, was killed in an air strike by the Israeli military on Friday.
The anchor is believed to work for Al Mayadeen, a media network affiliated with Hezbollah, according to a post shared by a user on X. The post read, “A News Anchor on the Hezbollah-Affiliated Lebanese Media Network, Al-Mayadeen, seen Crying following the announcement that Hezbollah Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah was Killed yesterday by an Israeli Airstrike.”
