Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said US Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a top Trump ally and also an advocate for Ukraine, should move to Ukraine and become a citizen of the country so that his voice holds “weight".
Zelenskyy’s statement came days after his contentious White House meeting with US President Donald Trump last week.
Upon being asked by a reporter about Graham’s statement that Zelenskyy should consider resigning, the Ukrainian President said, “Lindsay Graham is a very good guy… I can give him the citizenship of Ukraine."
“He will become a citizen of our country, and then his voice will gain weight," he said.
“And I will hear him as a citizen of Ukraine on the topic of who must be the president," Zelenskyy said.

THE BACKGROUND
Graham, a formerly staunch supporter of Ukraine, spoke to the press outside the White House after an angry exchange between Trump, Zelenskyy, and US Vice President JD Vance in the Oval Office.
Graham told reporters that it’s uncertain whether the United States can ever do business with Zelenskyy and suggested he should resign.
Graham also praised President Trump’s handling of the fiery Oval Office exchange with Zelenskyy and said what unfolded in the Oval Office was a “complete utter disaster", thus calling Zelenskyy “disrespectful" to Trump.
He said (Ukraine) should send somebody over they can do business with, or negotiate with the United States.
Zelenskyy arrived in London on Saturday where he was met with a warm embrace from British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and by cheering supporters around Downing Street.
On Friday, during an extra-ordinary meeting, Trump accused Zelenskyy of being ungrateful for US aid, of showing disrespect to his country and of risking World War Three, casting into doubt Washington’s ongoing support for Ukraine in its three-year-long war with Russia.
