US-Iran War News Live Updates: Iran-aligned Houthi militants attacked Saudi oil installations at two Red Sea ports on Saturday, raising fears that the conflict involving Iran, the US and Israel could spill over into another major shipping route and reignite Yemen’s long-running civil war. The attacks came as the US refrained from carrying out air strikes on Iran for the first time in nearly two weeks. Washington did not immediately explain the pause after 13 consecutive nights of escalating attacks on Iranian targets. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group had successfully targeted facilities belonging to Saudi state oil giant Aramco in Jizan and Yanbu. US Iran war Live: Iran earns $18 billion from oil sales amid US conflict
Iran’s oil minister said the country sold $18 billion worth of oil during its war and subsequent “ceasefire” with the United States, with the proceeds accounting for more than 60% of the oil revenue projected in Iran’s annual budget.
Mohsen Paknejad said reduced risks to tanker traffic helped boost exports, allowing Iran to sell some of the estimated 100 million barrels of crude oil and gas condensate held in storage.
