A report by the Washington Free Beacon has linked Rama Duwaji, the wife of New York City Democratic Mayor Zohran Mamdani, to a series of resurfaced social media posts that allegedly include the use of a racial slur and praise for Palestinian militant figures.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, Duwaji, 28, is accused of sharing the content on Tumblr and X accounts she allegedly used during her late teenage years and early twenties.
The outlet said it connected the accounts to Duwaji by cross-referencing usernames, biographical details and images, and by using facial recognition software.
POSTS DATE BACK TO TEENS, EARLY TWENTIES
The Washington Free Beacon reported that the posts span from around 2013 to 2017. One post from 2013 allegedly included the use of a racial slur in a tweet.
The post reads: 'Helllll yeah, n****. Super duper genius* excuse you.'
Other posts highlighted in the report include content praising figures linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a US-designated terrorist organization.
The report said a Tumblr account linked to Duwaji shared an image of plane hijacker Leila Khaled along with a quote attributed to her: “If it does good for my cause, I’ll be happy to accept death.”
In September 2017, NYC First Lady Rama Duwaji posted a photo to her Tumblr account of the Palestinian terrorist Leila Khaled.
"If it does good for my cause, I'd be happy to accept death," the photo caption read.

Khaled, a longtime member of the PFLP, a US-designated terrorist organization, participated in plane hijackings in 1969 and 1970. In the 1970 hijacking, Khaled threatened to detonate a grenade unless the pilots let her into the cockpit. Today, she is revered by terrorists and their allies as the first woman to hijack a plane
The outlet also reported that Duwaji reposted content praising Shadia Abu Ghazaleh, another figure associated with the group.
CRITICISM OF US AND ISRAEL ALSO HIGHLIGHTED
The Washington Free Beacon said some posts included criticism of US military actions and statements about Israel.
One repost described US soldiers as not brave and accused them of “slaughtering 3rd world civilians.” Another post allegedly stated that Tel Aviv “shouldn’t exist in the first place.”
The report also cited posts that blamed “white people” for the creation of al-Qaida. It noted that many of the accounts tied to the content now appear inactive or have been deleted.
FRESH SCRUTINY AFTER RECENT CONTROVERSY
The resurfaced posts come shortly after Duwaji faced criticism for liking social media content related to the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, she had engaged with posts that celebrated the attack and included claims that reports of sexual violence were a “mass rape hoax.”
The report comes as Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who rose rapidly in New York City politics, faces growing scrutiny over his political positions and public statements. Responding to earlier criticism, a spokesperson for the mayor said he has been “clear and consistent” in condemning Hamas and the October 7 attack as a “horrific war crime.”
Duwaji has not publicly responded to the latest report.
