Melania Trump will likely spend more time in Trump Tower in New York and in Florida rather than spending too much time inside the White House in Washington.
As Donald and Melania Trump’s son Barron Trump continues his studies in New York University, the soon-to-be FLOTUS will spend time in Trump Tower and be close to her son, CNN said in a report.
The broadcaster said Melania is not likely to move to Washington full time in her second stint as First Lady of the United States, a high-profile, global role.
In one of her initial decisions, the incoming first lady Melania Trump opted to skip the customary meeting with outgoing first lady Jill Biden at the White House as President Joe Biden met President-elect Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Wednesday.
Although Jill Biden extended an invitation, members of Trump’s team pointed out the importance of Melania attending, yet her office cited a scheduling conflict due to her book commitments. On Wednesday morning, her team confirmed on social platform X that Melania would not attend the meeting.
The broadcaster in a report said that Jill Biden handed Donald Trump a handwritten letter addressed to Melania Trump. A White House official told the broadcaster she “gave Mr. Trump a handwritten letter of congratulations for Mrs. Trump, which also expressed her team’s readiness to assist with the transition".
