US President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday (local time) questioned outgoing President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter in gun crime and tax evasion convictions, and called his step a “miscarriage of Justice".

“Does the Pardon given by Joe to Hunter include the J-6 Hostages, who have now been imprisoned for years? Such an abuse and miscarriage of Justice," Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.

What Is ‘J6 Hostages’?

The term “J6 hostages" refers to the people who were locked up for their involvement in the January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill riots. Trump and his supporters have labelled them as “hostages" claiming that they were acting in a peaceful and patriotic manner.

It has been speculated that Trump, after taking over as the President in January, will issue a pardon for all the imprisoned persons who were put behind bars for their role in the siege of Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, after he lost the presidential race against Joe Biden in 2020.
