NCC secures ₹2,269 crore contract for Mumbai Metro Line 6 project

NCC Ltd has been awarded a major contract worth approximately ₹2,269 crore (excluding GST) by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for work on Mumbai Metro Line 6 – Package 1-CA-232, the company informed exchanges on Friday.

The scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of rolling stock, communication-based signalling systems, train control, telecom systems, platform screen doors, and depot machinery for Line 6 (Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli).

The contract is to be executed over a 24-month construction period, followed by two years of defect liability maintenance and five years of comprehensive maintenance.

This fresh win adds to NCC’s strong momentum. Earlier, on June 30, the company announced receipt of new orders worth ₹1,690.5 crore for its building division from various state agencies and private firms.

NCC reported a 6% YoY rise in Q4 FY25 net profit at ₹253.8 crore. For FY25, it secured orders worth ₹32,888 crore, with the consolidated order book at ₹71,568 crore as of March-end.

Ahead of the announcement, shares of NCC Ltd ended at ₹220.85, down 1.19% on the NSE on Friday.
