US President Donald Trump has issued a blunt warning to Iran, urging Tehran to "get serious" about the truce proposal as tensions continue to rise in the region. He threatened Iran amid reports that Washington has put forward a detailed plan to end the conflict, even as Tehran rejected direct negotiations.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump blasted Iran’s approach. "The Iranian negotiators are very different and 'strange.' They are 'begging' us to make a deal, which they should be doing since they have been militarily obliterated, with zero chance of a comeback, and yet they publicly state that they are only 'looking at our proposal.' WRONG!!!" he wrote.
"They better get serious soon, before it is too late, because once that happens, there is NO TURNING BACK, and it won’t be pretty! President DJT," he added.
According to reports, the United States has shared a 15-point proposal with Iran, covering key areas such as its nuclear programme, ballistic missile development, and maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.
