The Taliban government’s spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, has clarified that Afghanistan’s relations with India are based on independence and mutual respect, and are not influenced by Pakistan or any other country.

In an interview with Tolo News, Mujahid stated that “Afghanistan has not been and will not be a tool in the hands of any party." He emphasized that the country’s diplomatic engagements, including those with India, are driven by national interests and a commitment to maintaining balanced relations with all regional and extra-regional nations.
