Oppo Reno 12 launch date in India is here and this week we’re going to see the company enter the much-contested AI arena with these devices. The Reno 12 series will look to build on the promise of its predecessor and offer new compelling features to get your attention. The Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro have already been confirmed by the company but there are still a lot of details that we don’t know. Oppo Reno 12 Series Launch In India: What To Expect
The Reno 12 series phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, built on a 4nm process. These smartphones support artificial intelligence-backed features such as the AI Clear Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary and AI Eraser 2.0.
The Indian variant of the Oppo Reno 12 5G series will sport a 6.7-inch full HD+ flexible AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The base variant uses Gorilla Glass 7i, while the Pro version will boast Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Both models are also IP65-rated for dust and water resistance.
Both the phone are likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC charging. However, the biggest difference between both versions is in the imaging department. Both handsets in the Oppo Reno 12 5G version feature a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support, alongside an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens. The vanilla model will have a 2MP macro camera instead of the 2x optical zoom snapper, whereas the Pro variant will hold a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom.
The Oppo Reno 12 5G phones will come with AI-enhanced connectivity and support Oppo’s proprietary AI Link Boost technology, which promises to reduce network lag by up to 25 percent.
Going by these features and Oppo’s standard pricing tactics for the Reno series, we expect the Reno 12 price in India to start around Rs 30,000 while the Reno 12 Pro could be priced closer to Rs 40,000 in the market.
