Iran has laid down three key conditions for ending its ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel, including recognition of its rights and payment of reparations for damage caused by the war. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran remains committed to peace but insisted that the war can only end if certain demands are met by Washington and Tel Aviv.
"The only way to end this war -- ignited by the Zionist regime and the US -- is recognising Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm international guarantees against future aggression," Pezeshkian said in a statement posted on social media after speaking with the leaders of Russia and Pakistan.
Tehran has specified that conflict was triggered by attacks from the US and Israel and that Iran would not accept a ceasefire without clear assurances.
