Samsung Confirms Android 15 Update Timeline: Here’s When Your Phone Will Get It

Samsung has been late with the Android 15 update which made its debut in January with the Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung will finally offer the Android 15 update for its old devices

Samsung could finally have its much delayed Android 15 update ready for roll out in the coming weeks. The Galaxy S25 launch event in January was the official announcement of the One UI 7 version based on Android 15 but the older Galaxy phones have been waiting for the new update which has been stuck in the beta tests for a while. That wait could be finally over in the next month or so going by the new details available this week.

Samsung Android 15 Release Timeline: When To Expect New Update

Samsung has yet to officially confirm the roll out plans but a new report this week suggests we could see the Android 15 update coming to the existing Galaxy S and Fold/Flip models from April onwards. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 6 users can expect the update around April 18, and if you have the Galaxy S23 models, the update will stretch into April 25.

People using the Flip 3 or Fold 3 model will have to wait till May 23 to get the Android 15 version of One UI for their devices. Here is the full list of Galaxy phones getting the new update:

Galaxy S21 series | Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 3 – May 23

The list here clearly shows you Samsung’s broad focus with the new update, and even including the mid-range A series phones.

Having said that, these timelines clearly suggest Samsung is having challenges with the new version, which is claimed to be its biggest overhaul in years. We are hoping these timelines match up with the Android 15 release for Samsung users in India as well. Some of these users might get a taste of Android 15 in May, by when the Android 16 update might be close to making its debut for the public.
