Samsung could finally have an FE model of its Galaxy Watch this year
The first FE Galaxy Watch is expected to feature a round design, come without the rotating bezel and powered by the latest WearOS version out of the box.
Samsung is one of the largest phone manufacturers in the world and apart from smartphones, the company also produces Smart Tabs, Smart Watches, Smart TV’s. The Galaxy Watch series from Samsung has been widely appreciated for its impressive features and classy looks. As per a report by Android Headlines, the tech giant is currently working on an affordable new smart watch, the Galaxy Watch FE, which is expected to have features similar to that of the previously launched Galaxy Watch 4. The ‘FE’ in the name stands for Fan Edition.
Samsung is planning to launch the watch later this year which will be carrying model numbers SM-R866F, SM-R866U, SM-R866N. The letters F, U and N mentioned at the end of the model numbers represent Global, US and Korea respectively.
An official announcement regarding the Galaxy Watch FE from Samsung is still awaited. The new smartwatch most likely features a round design and a rotating bezel and will probably be using the Google wear OS operating system. And all this under a budget friendly price for the users with limited budget can have access to the smartwatch technology.
The exact specifications of the Galaxy Watch FE have yet not been disclosed by the company. It may closely resemble Galaxy 4 launched in 2021.
Several users speculate that the tech giant might be launching the Galaxy Watch FE along with the Galaxy Watch 7 series at the Samsung event later this year. The Galaxy Watch FE could prove to be a strong competitor to the already launched Apple iWatch SE.
However, it was earlier reported that Samsung could be relaunching the Tab S6 Lite and Watch 4 in 2024 with some upgrades. The company has already launched the Tab S6 Lite with a new processor but the upgraded version of the Watch 4 is yet to be introduced.
Samsung is rumoured to be working on several other FE (Fan Edition) devices like the Galaxy Z Fold FE, Galaxy Z Flip FE, and the S24 FE.
