SBI SCO application 2026: The State Bank of India (SBI) has opened online applications for Circle Based Officer (CBO) posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through SBI’s official website, sbi.co.in.

Who can apply?
To be eligible, candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government, including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Applicants with professional qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, or Cost Accountant are also eligible.The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on December 31, 2025. This means candidates should have been born between January 1, 1996, and December 31, 2004 (both dates inclusive).
SBI SCO 2026: Selection process explained
The selection process includes three stages: an online test, screening, and an interview. The online examination will have two parts. The objective test carries 120 marks, while the descriptive test carries 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be conducted immediately after the Objective Test, and candidates will be required to type their answers on the computer.
The Descriptive section will last 30 minutes and will assess English language skills through letter writing and an essay. There will be no sectional cut-off marks. However, candidates must secure the minimum aggregate score decided by the bank to move ahead in the recruitment process.
SBI SCO 2026: Application fee details
Candidates from the General, EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹750. Applicants belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempted from paying any fee.Payments can be made online using a debit card, credit card, or internet banking.
