The Punjab Government’s Subordinate Service Selection Board has issued the detailed PSSSB Clerk Recruitment 2026 notification for the post of Clerk in various departments. The notification, released under Advertisement Number 02 of 2026, is now available on the official website, sssb.punjab.gov.in.The portal for the online application was opened on February 14, 2026. The final date to submit the application form and pay the required fee is March 6, 2026. The admit card will be issued seven to ten days prior to the examination date. The date of the PSSSB Clerk examination will be notified separately.
Vacancy and salary structureThe Board has announced that recruitment will be carried out for Clerk posts across various departments of the Punjab Government.
The number of vacancies is yet to be notified.Candidates selected for the post of Clerk will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 19,900. The recruitment will be conducted through written examination, followed by a typing test and verification of documents.Age and eligibility criteriaApplicants need to be qualified according to the defined age and educational criteria. They should be at least 18 years old and not more than 37 years old as of January 1, 2026.
Age relaxation is applicable for certain categories. The upper age limit is 42 years for SC and BC candidates who are Punjab residents, 45 years for Government employees, and 47 years for PwD candidates.In terms of educational qualifications, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. They must also possess at least 120 hours of a computer course with working knowledge in office productivity applications and desktop publishing applications from a Government-recognised or ISO 9001 certified institution. Alternatively, an ‘O’ Level computer course certificate from DOEACC, Government of India, is acceptable.Applicants must have passed Matric with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject. A Punjabi language qualifying test at the Matric level with a minimum of 50 per cent marks is mandatory.
