The “Emilia Perez” star stepped out in a custom off-the-shoulder Ralph Lauren gown, a masterpiece adorned with over 16,000 drops of glass and hand-sewn Rosemont crystals. According CNN, the design was created by 12 Italian artisans who skillfully airbrushed the glass to achieve a stunning pink ombré finish. The sparkling details were, arranged in a lattice pattern, shimmered with every movement.
Gomez completed her ensemble with a peachy nude lip, a sleek wavy bob, and a dazzling diamond choker paired with drop earrings. The dress was a striking reflection of her impeccable style, which has often leaned toward retro-chic looks.
The inspiration behind the striking outfit was rooted in classic Hollywood elegance. As reported by CNN, Gomez’s stylist Erin Walsh revealed that the duo sought to capture “movie star magic,” drawing inspiration from the legendary Italian actress Sophia Loren. They even consulted with Loren’s former tailor to ensure the look was a true homage to the iconic star.
Gomez arrived with her fiancé, Benny Blanco, and she later co-presented the Best Documentary Short Film and Best Documentary Feature categories alongside Samuel L. Jackson. Her film, “Emilia Perez,” was nominated for 13 Oscars, including Best Picture, although it only took home two awards—Best Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldaña and Best Original Song for “El Mal.”
