Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty 50 index is trading 280 points or 1.2% in the green. As many as 35 index stocks are in the green, while 15 are in the red. Shriram Finance (4.41%), L&T (3.99%), and BEL (3.19%) are the top gainers. On the other hand, Trent (-7.20%), Britannia (-2.02%) and ITC Hotels (-1.28%) are the top losers.

The benchmark Sensex is trading close to 500 points higher, while the Nifty is above 23,500.
US President Donald Trump temporarily halted the planned 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico. The announcement led to a sharp upturn in the Dow Jones, which recovered nearly 550 points from its intraday lows, though Wall Street indices still closed in negative territory.
Banks, Defence stocks, Power Grid, Samvardhana, Sona BLW, Garden Reach, Paradeep, NLC India, Titagarh Rail, Tata Chem, Gland Pharma, will be in focus among other shares.
