Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The bulls managed to hold on to the 23,800 mark on Wednesday but nothing much has changed on ground for the market. Oil prices remain above $95, although Wall Street saw a small rebound overnight. Bond yields too saw a small cool-off but remain at elevated levels.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Today is the weekly expiry of the Sensex options contracts. The Nifty has entered the penultimate trading day of the week on the back of a three-day losing streak, which has now seen the index give up even the crucial 24,000 support.
The bulls managed to hold on to the 23,800 mark on Wednesday but nothing much has changed on ground for the market. Oil prices remain above $95, although Wall Street saw a small rebound overnight. Bond yields too saw a small cool-off but remain at elevated levels.
The supply of paper also continues with a block deal likely in Meesho today. Wednesday's low of 23,786 will be an important level to watch on the downside as the bulls would hope that it becomes a near-term swing low.
The Nifty Bank has also managed to defend 57,000 on the downside and that will remain an important level to watch. The positive? The currency has remained stable. Banks will be in focus after the strong FCNR (B) deposit number as well. Watch for stocks like Power Grid, Page Industries, Persistent Systems, Swiggy and others.
