The Nifty is up over 200 points, rising above 24,600. The Nifty Bank is also higher, jumping over 530 points, rising to 57,600. ITC, Shriram Fin and IndiGo are top gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: Indian equity benchmarks ended higher for the fourth consecutive session on Monday, with the Nifty closing above the 24,700 mark as broad-based buying across sectors lifted investor sentiment.
The Sensex gained 544.39 points, or 0.70%, to close at 78,639.03, while the Nifty rose 390.70 points, or 1.60%, to settle at 24,774.30.
Market breadth remained positive, with 2,705 stocks advancing, 1,496 declining and 185 remaining unchanged.
Among the Nifty50 constituents, InterGlobe Aviation, TCS, Infosys, Shriram Finance and Grasim Industries were the top gainers. On the other hand, Sun Pharma, Apollo Hospitals, Maruti Suzuki, ONGC and Tech Mahindra ended among the top losers.
