Stock Market Live Updates: We are in the second half of this Sensex expiry session, and themarkets are holding onto he gains. The markets have finally managed to swing back after 7 long days in red. The Nifty is up over 100 points, rising to 24,200. The Nifty Bank has surged over 340 points. Shriram Fin, Infosys, Eternal are the top gainers.
Stock Market LIVE Updates: We are in the second half of the day's trade and the bulls are hopeful of breaking the 7-day losing streak as market holds gains.
The markets have finally managed to flip the red wave, at least for now. The Nifty, after falling for 7 straight sessions, is now trading over 100 points higher, rising towards the 24,200 mark. The Sensex has also surged over 500 points, jumping to 77,500.
The Nifty also closed below its 50-Day Moving Average on Wednesday. Three very important levels on the downside are now within a 150-point distance from each other.
First is the 61.8% retracement level of the recent Nifty rally from the July lows, which comes up to 24,045, a level the index defended on Wednesday, second is 24,000, the psychological support, and third is the 100-Day Moving Average, which is at 23,920 on the downside.
The Nifty Bank bulls are defending 57,000 by hook or by crook as was the case in mid-week trade as well, and that remains the most important level to track on the downside.
