The Nifty, as it looks to break a 5-day losing streak, trades below the 24,200 mark. The Nifty Bank is under pressure as well, with the index falling over 180 points. Infosys, Bharti Airtel, and IndiGo are the top losers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street, and the markets have taken a bigger hit as the day has progressed. The markets are trading under pressure, with the Nifty having fallen below the 24,200 mark. The index is looking to avoid the 6th straight day of losses, after falling 5 sessions in a row. The Sensex is also down, with losses of over 350 points, falling to 77,500.
With the index closing below 24,300, the 24,200 level is a very important support on the downside, as chartists are citing. The 24,250 Put option has also seen significant open interest addition on Monday, making it a crucial level to what.
The Nifty Bank also gave up its entire intraday recovery during CAS, but continues to find buying interest around the 57,000 mark.
