In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary, Muhammad Yunus government, said the situation of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh is not grim.
When asked about reports of a sharp rise in attacks on Hindus and minorities and what steps the government is taking to make them feel secure,Shafiqul Alam said, "The situation of Hindus and any other minority in Bangladesh is not grim. A few days back, Voice of America has released an opinion poll where majority is saying that Hindus are more safe now, the monitories are more safe now than they were in Sheikh Hasina's premiership."
