Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: In the final hour of trade, the market saw a recovery, with the Nifty holding above 22,900 and the Sensex above 75,900. However, the Sensex ended the day lower by 29 points at 75,967, and the Nifty slipped 14 points to 22,945.
Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: The stock market ended the day with marginal changes, but it rebounded sharply from the lows seen earlier in the session. The Midcap index gained over 600 points from its lows, showing a notable recovery. On the other hand, the Nifty Bank fell by 172 points to 49,087, while the Midcap index closed 98 points lower at 49,751.
The IT sector saw a buying spree, with Tech Mahindra and Persistent Systems emerging as the top gainers. Power-related stocks also moved higher, led by NTPC and Power Grid, both recording significant gains. Bharti Airtel ended the day flat following a ₹8,500 crore stake sale by a promoter entity. Meanwhile, the auto sector continued to face selling pressure, with most large-cap names, except for Maruti, slipping lower.
