US President Donald Trump has come under criticism after a fundraising email from his political action committee used a photograph from a solemn ceremony honouring American troops killed in a drone strike in Kuwait during the ongoing Iran war.

The message, sent by the PAC Never Surrender Inc., featured an image from a dignified transfer ceremony and promoted what it called as access to the president’s “private national security briefings" for donors.

The email invited supporters to join what it called a “ Security Briefing Membership", urging recipients to donate in order to receive “unfiltered updates on the threats facing America".

The message said members would get the “straight truth on border invasions, foreign adversaries, deep state sabotage, and every danger the fake news hides".
