The conflict between Israel and Iran entered its sixth day on Wednesday as both countries continued to pound fresh missile attacks at each other. The Israeli military said Iran fired two rounds of missiles early in the morning. Explosions were heard over Tel Aviv. Israel also continued its airstrikes near Tehran, targeting Iranian military sites, even though US President Donald Trump has asked Iran to surrender unconditionally.

Trump posted several strong messages warning Iran. He said the US knows where Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is hiding, but they will not harm him — at least "for now." Trump added, "Our patience is wearing thin." He also demanded, "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!" just minutes later. This comes amid reports claiming the US may become directly involved in the conflict soon.

Trump also spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by phone on Tuesday, reported Axios. At the same time, US officials say more fighter jets are being sent to the Middle East.

TOP DEVELOPMENTS IN ISRAEL-IRAN CONFLICT

On Wednesday morning, Iran launched two new missile attacks on Israel. Explosions were reported throughout Tel Aviv. At the same time, Israel continued its strikes near Tehran. Residents in District 18 of the Iranian capital were told to evacuate before the attacks. Iranian news confirmed explosions in Tehran and Karaj.

US President Trump posted on Truth Social that Iran’s leader is "an easy target" and said, "We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now." He warned that the US had run out of patience and demanded Iran's "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!" within minutes of his earlier message. He warned that Iranian skies are under complete US control.

The United States has sent more fighter planes to the Middle East and extended the missions of some aircraft already in the region. A White House official confirmed Trump held a 90-minute meeting with his Security Council to discuss options. US forces are currently taking only defensive measures.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a warning to Israel on X, saying, "The battle begins. Ali returns to Khaybar," the post says, according to a translation by the Iran news outlet. Minutes later, Khamenei posted another warning to Israel: "We must give a strong response to the terrorist Zionist regime. We will show the Zionists no mercy." The statement is Khamenei’s first public post since US President Donald Trump on social media demanded Iran’s unconditional surrender.

Son of Iran's last shah and exiled prince Reza Pahlavi has issued a call for regime change in Tehran, declaring that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has "gone into hiding underground" and that the Islamic Republic is in the process of collapsing. "Khamenei, like a frightened rat, has gone into hiding underground and has lost control of the situation," he added.
