British citizens will now be able to travel to China without requiring a visa, the government has confirmed. Under the new arrangement, UK nationals can enter China visa-free for trips of up to 30 days, making short-term travel easier for tourists and visitors.

The move is expected to simplify travel procedures for British citizens planning to visit the country.

Commenting on the visas agreement, UK Minister Keir Starmer said, “As one of the world’s economic powerhouses, businesses have been crying out for ways to grow their footprints in China. We’ll make it easier for them to do so, including via relaxed visa rules for short-term travel, supporting them to expand abroad, all while boosting growth and jobs at home."

In addition to visa-free travel for up to 30 days, the UK has announced a “feasibility study" to work towards an agreement on trade in services between China and the UK, BBC reported.
