Dubai authorities said a limited fire broke out in the vicinity of the consulate following what they described as a drone strike. The blaze was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported, according to Dubai’s media office.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters that a parking lot inside the consulate compound was hit in the incident. He added that all consulate personnel were accounted for.
