A shocking viral video caught the violent shaking experienced in Bangkok after two strong earthquakes hit Myanmar on Friday. A video posted by an X user shows a Korean family stuck in a high-rise building in Bangkok, with a child screaming in distress.

The family appears to be trapped as the building shakes due to the powerful tremors from the earthquakes, measuring 7.7 and 6.4 in magnitude, that hit Myanmar.

However, in a follow-up post, the user reassured everyone that the Korean family including their young child are safe. “We’ve come down from the 31st floor. The little one is fine too. They’re so brave, didn’t fuss at all even when we had to take the stairs,” the user posted.

The impact of the quake was so severe that several buildings and high-rise structures in Bangkok were left swaying, with one video showing a horrifying scene.

Water from rooftop pools in a high-rise building cascaded over the edges, creating the illusion of a scary waterfall. The pool's violent sloshing was a direct result of the earthquake, with water spilling from the building as it shook.

In addition to the chaotic scenes in Bangkok, a 30-story skyscraper under construction for government offices collapsed in the city, trapping 43 workers, news agency AFP reported. The earthquake's epicenter was located around 50 kilometers east of Monywa, a city in central Myanmar.
