South Korean fighter jets on Thursday accidentally dropped bombs on a civilian area in Poncheon during a military exercise, injuring 15 people and damaging houses, local authorities said.
South Korean Air Force officials said eight 500-pound (225kg) Mk82 bombs were accidentally dropped by two KF-16 jets during a joint live-fire exercises, Reuters reported.
An official said that the accident occurred as a pilot entered incorrect coordinates.
