WhatsApp users can now get notified about messages they may have missed and reminders from the app.
WhatsApp is now reminding you about the missed chats
WhatsApp notifies when you get a new chat and that is applicable for video/voice calls as well. But what if we tell you the messaging app will soon remind you about the unread messages as well? Yes, WhatsApp is already testing this feature with the beta users and you might get it in the full version pretty soon. WhatsApp started the reminder option with status updates earlier but it seems to have included messages to the roster now.
WhatsApp Message Reminders: How It Works
Unlike some of the recent features, WhatsApp is giving you the option to manually enable the tool. The reminders work through the notifications tab in the settings. You will need the WhatsApp beta version 2.24.25.29 on Android to try it out right away.

Once you enable the reminder option, WhatsApp will alert you regularly about the unread messages. The details about the feature from WaBetaInfo also says that WhatsApp will only do this for people who you message or interact with on a regular basis. We were able to check for the feature on our beta version which suggests the official roll out might not be far away.
WhatsApp offers a host of unreleased features in the beta version and people can sign up for the program to get access to these new upcoming tools from the platform.
The messaging app did publicly confirm one such feature recently. WhatsApp has introduced the new typing indicator which is officially available to iPhone and Android users. The typing indicator comes in the form of a bubble within the chat window on the right side of the screen. You will see three dots move as the person is typing before the message reaches your feed. The feature doesn’t need to be activated and will start working by default.
