WhatsApp is making it simpler to personalise forwarded content. The feature, which is currently accessible to a limited number of beta testers, enables users to add personalised messages to text, documents, and other types of information.
Currently, it only works with photos, videos, and GIFs, the planned upgrade will remove the requirement for users to manually send a message after forwarding a text message, document, or image.
The functionality is restricted to users on WhatsApp beta for Android v2.24.25.3 and works with text, documents, videos, links, and photographs, according to a recent report by WABetaInfo.
If you wish to forward content and include additional context or information in the message, this feature may be useful. Additionally, it removes the necessity of deleting an existing caption or doing it separately.
It should be mentioned that the feature can be used to send a new message with content that wasn’t transferred, in addition to emails or files that have already been forwarded.
As per the report, it is expected that the feature will reach more users across the globe in the upcoming weeks. Thus, allowing users to add personalised messages to forwarded content. The specific release date for this update is yet to be confirmed.
