Many Windows PC users are facing a major blue screen issue, here's why

Millions of Windows PCs are affected by a major security outage that forces systems to restart and show the blue error screen death.

PCs into the Blue Screen of Death of BSOD mode. The issue has been faced globally with users in countries like the US, Europe and even India highlighting the problem with their Windows PCs as the systems have gone kaput in the middle of their work day.

Windows PC Outage – What Caused This

Many Windows users have complained on forums like Reddit about their PC randomly restarting and switching the Blue screen error mode which makes the PCs unusable. The issue seems widespread and causing disruption across the board as Windows PCs are deployed at workplaces, and other public entities. It has been pointed out that Windows PCs use a special cybersecurity solution from a company called CrowdStrike that seems to be the culprit for this outage, affecting most Windows PC users out there.

CrowdStrike Problems Disrupt Windows PCs

The biggest reason for the Windows PC BSOD error is that CrowdStrike is facing a massive outage in its core product called Falcon that runs on these PCs for security of the Windows computers. The cybersecurity firm has seemingly confirmed the issue at its end and talked about its engineers working at full speed to get this issue fixed at the earliest. The company also says Windows users don’t need to report or file a ticket for the issue as it is aware about the problem with Falcon and it will inform users when the issue is resolved.

Windows PC security is heavily reliant on CrowdStrike solutions, not only to update the versions and offer patches but also detect any possible threats that could cause havoc on the systems.

What Users Are Saying

The Windows PC outage has caused massive uproar on social media, where some people are happy about getting an early weekend break, others not pleased with the timing of the outage in the middle of important work and meetings.

Something super weird happening right now: just been called by several totally different media outlets in the last few minutes, all with Windows machines suddenly BSoD’ing (Blue Screen of Death).
